Bay Legal Trust Reconciliation

Bay Legal Trust Reconciliation is a private software tool used only by Bay Legal, PC and its authorized staff. It is not available to the public or to other businesses.

The tool helps the firm reconcile its client trust (IOLTA) accounts. It reads the firm’s own accounting records from QuickBooks Online and compares them with the firm’s client trust ledgers and bank statements — the three-way reconciliation that California attorneys are required to perform. Any differences are flagged for the firm’s bookkeeping staff to review and correct.

The tool has read-only access. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in QuickBooks.

Connecting and reconnecting

The connection to QuickBooks is set up and renewed by the firm’s authorized administrator using the firm’s own systems. There is nothing to install or sign up for on this page.

Bay Legal staff: if the reconciliation dashboard shows that the QuickBooks connection needs to be renewed, contact the operations manager or the responsible attorney.
